Almost one quarter of all consumers who haven’t saved for the Christmas season will turn to their credit cards to meet the costs of Christmas. Most Britons rely on Credit cards to cover the shopping expenses, despite their high interest rates. Statistics reveal that the interest rates have increased by over 2% points to more than 18% in the last two years, despite the Bank of England’s base rate dropping to an all-time low.
